Terms of sale

These terms apply when you buy from Leovo. They are written to be read — if anything here is unclear, email us and we will explain it rather than point at a clause.

1. Who we are

Leovo is a trading name of Oscar Read, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. Contact details are at the bottom of this page. When these terms say “we” or “us”, that is who you are dealing with.

2. What we sell

We sell physical cards containing an NFC chip and a printed QR code. Each card is programmed before dispatch so that tapping or scanning it opens a destination we set for your business — normally your Google review page or your Instagram profile.

We do not write reviews, generate followers, or influence what anyone says about you. The card removes friction for a customer who already wants to leave a review or follow you. Any claim you read elsewhere that a product guarantees reviews should be treated with suspicion.

3. Your order

Adding cards to your basket is not an order. A contract is formed when we send you an email confirming your order. If we cannot fulfil it — for example we cannot identify your business — we will tell you and refund you in full.

We reserve the right to refuse an order. In practice we only do this where we cannot verify a business, where the destination would breach section 5, or where an order looks fraudulent.

4. Prices and payment

• Prices are in pounds sterling and include UK delivery.
• We are not VAT registered, so no VAT is charged and none is shown separately. The price displayed is the total price payable.
• Payment is taken at checkout by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
• If a price is obviously wrong — a pricing error rather than an offer — we will contact you before proceeding and you can cancel for a full refund.

5. What you are responsible for

You confirm that:

• The business details you give us are accurate and you are entitled to act for that business.
• The Google listing or Instagram profile you want the card pointed at is genuinely yours.
• You will not use a Leovo card to point at content that is unlawful, deceptive, or that impersonates another business.

If you ask us to point a card at someone else’s business or at unlawful content, we will refuse and cancel the order.

6. Reviews must be honest

This matters more than most people realise. Under the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024, it is unlawful to submit fake reviews, to commission them, or to offer incentives for positive reviews without disclosing it.

A Leovo card must be offered to genuine customers, with no condition attached to what they say. Do not offer a discount for a five-star review. Do not filter who gets shown the card based on how happy they seem. Both are illegal, both risk your Google listing, and both are outside what we will support. If we become aware a card is being used that way we may stop supporting it.

7. Things we cannot control

Your card points at a page hosted by Google or Meta. Those companies can change their URLs, suspend accounts, alter how reviews work, or remove a listing entirely, and we have no say in it. We are responsible for the card working as described when it reaches you. We are not responsible for a third-party platform changing afterwards.

Equally, we make no promise about how many reviews or followers you will get. That depends on your customers, your service, and where you put the card.

8. Your legal rights

If you are a consumer, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 gives you rights we cannot exclude: goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. Nothing in these terms limits those rights. Cancellation and faults are covered on our returns page.

9. Our liability

We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded — including your statutory rights as a consumer.

Subject to that, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for lost profits, lost business, or lost goodwill. Where you buy as a business rather than a consumer, this limit applies in full.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your purchase is the one published when you ordered. The date at the top of this page tells you when the wording last changed.

11. Law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes may be brought in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your own courts.
